Hoopy Frood are a genre-fluid band, blending electronica, classic rock, psychedelia.

Formed in 2004 with their debut album Psychonaut, Hoopy Frood followed up with an invitation to support Ozric Tentacles in 2005 - the performance proved a turning point, and the band have been writing, performing, and evolving together ever since.

Released in 13 countries, their debut album Psychonaut received enthusiastic global feedback, praised for its emotional depth, organic feel, and playful creativity. Drawing influences from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Björk, Bob Marley, and Fleetwood Mac, the band’s sound took a psychedelic turn in 2003. Armed with a cheap PC and a copy of Reason, they began blending rock with electronic psychedelia.

Their second album, Indigo (2009), was mixed and co-produced by Ott. Lockdown jams in 2020 led to Affirmations (2021), and a return to carefree experimentation has shaped their forth and most recent album, Mostly Harmless, in 2025.
