Marc Woosnam 9pm
Marc Woosnam is a Berkshire based acoustic solo singer / songwriter, his musical roots stem from the Seattle grunge scene and branch out to blues, rock, and folk to give him a unique sound in modern music.
A musician for over 25 years, Marc has played on various stages in bands and has recently started performing as a solo artist in his own right, drawing on his life experiences to produce music of love & loss, of good times & bad, creating compelling melodies with powerful vocals and relatable lyrics.
Days are Done 7.30pm
Days Are Done is singer/songwriter Emmy Kay and BAFTA winning TV and Film composer Adam Lewis.
Brought together just over 2 years ago by a series of musical coincidences and collaborations, their sound is a distinct amalgamation of Folk-Americana classic songwriting, mostly written in their front rooms in Kingston-Upon-Thames.
The enigmatic blend of their vocals showcases their undeniable chemistry both recorded and live. Just two months after forming they self recorded an introductory live double EP in a coffee shop in their hometown.
Debut single 'Turns To Dust' followed, which secured them a session on the prestigious Grand Ole Opry owned WSM Radio in Nashville.
As well as playing close to 500 gigs since their formation (including Glastonbury and opening for Michael Kiwanuka) their "old vs new" vibe and debut EP 'Closer' brought sessions for BBC Radio 2, and The Telegraph, amongst others.
2018 saw the release of their EP 'Front Room Covers' - a selection of their favourite covers recorded in their front rooms in Kingston-Upon-Thames.
Paul Alexander 6.15pm
Paul started singing and playing guitar and piano at the age of 16. He quickly joined a local band and went on to be lead guitarist and singer in various bands over the next 25 years.
In that time, he has written with multi-platinum selling songwriters and supported some well-known artists.
With his own unique folk blues style, Paul songs expose a truly sensitive artist.
His melodies and lyrics cut straight through to the core, which added together with his accomplished guitar playing and a powerful voice create a unique sound that will engage and delight the listener.
City Ignites 5.00pm
Rock acoustic cover band from Wokingham, Berkshire formed by members of metal band Schemata Theory.
The City Ignites re-imagine rock and metal songs for the acoustic setting.
Sophie Al Noah 3.45pm
Inspired by the greats such as Stevie Wonder and Hendrix but with a love of modern riffs and tracks, Sophie loves bringing a range of music to whatever audience she play's to.
As a solo guitarist and singer, she often disassemble songs and piece them back together create a new vibe or layered sound.
Live music always feels to her like it has a unique rawness. She said "I love it, to be able to perform to others and share my music with them couldn’t make me happier.”
Jaxannah is a delightful close harmony singing group offering a wide repertoire of show songs, love ballads and pop classics.
The keyboard and violin ensure a complete and unique live audio accompaniment.
Wokingham Choral Academy 1.30pm
|The “find” of last year’s festival, Wokingham Choral Academy is back again in 2019 with their upbeat mix of popular classics and songs from the shows.
WCA is a community choir singing SATB (Soprano, Tenor, Alto, Bass) arrangements of a broad range of songs, with professional choral direction and musical accompaniment.
For the festival, the repertoire will be full of sunshine and fun. We hope you enjoy listening to us as much as we enjoy singing!
